Moving a hot tub safely requires more than a van and a few people. Coastal Hot Tubs and Wellness provides hot tub moving and relocation across Cornwall and Devon, with access planning, suitable transport and specialist lifting coordination where required.

Nick and Ryan plan and carry out every move personally, so the team assessing the access is the same team lifting the tub on the day.

We can help when you are moving house, buying a pre-owned hot tub, changing its position within a property or delivering a spa from one location to another.

How much does it cost to move a hot tub?

Transport costs depend on the distance, the access at both ends and whether specialist lifting equipment is needed. We assess access before confirming a job, so every quote reflects the real work involved rather than a generic estimate.

What our hot tub moving service can include

Depending on the job, we can provide:

  • Collection from the existing property.
  • Disconnection and preparation where agreed.
  • Safe loading and securing for transport.
  • Transport to the new address.
  • Unloading and positioning at the new location.
  • Reconnection and setup where included in the quotation.
  • Coordination of cranes or specialist lifting equipment.

The exact scope is confirmed before the move so both parties know what is included.

Access is the first question

Hot tubs are large, heavy and awkward to manoeuvre. Gate width alone does not confirm that a route is suitable. We may need to consider corners, steps, walls, changes in level, overhead obstructions, soft ground and how close a vehicle or lifting system can get.

We normally assess access before accepting a transport job. Clear photographs, measurements and video are useful at the quotation stage, but a site survey may still be necessary.

Specialist lifting and crane access

Where a hot tub cannot travel safely through the property, we can help coordinate an appropriate lifting company in the relevant area. The lifting provider may need its own survey, and additional costs are quoted separately.

Preparing the new position

The destination needs a suitable level base, access to the correct electrical supply and enough working room for connection and future servicing. If the base or electrics are not ready, tell us before booking the move so the work can be planned in the correct order.

Information needed for a transport quote

Please provide:

  • Collection and delivery postcodes.
  • Hot tub make, model and dimensions if known.
  • Photographs and measurements of both access routes.
  • Details of steps, walls, narrow passages or level changes.
  • Whether disconnection, reconnection and positioning are required.
  • Preferred timing.

Move a hot tub with a planned process

Contact Coastal before committing to a used hot tub or removal date. An early access check can prevent expensive surprises and help determine whether normal handling or specialist lifting is needed.

Transport FAQs

Can you disconnect and reconnect the hot tub?

Yes, where this is included in the agreed scope. Electrical work must be completed by an appropriately qualified person where required.

Can you move a hot tub over a wall or building?

Potentially. We can coordinate specialist lifting, subject to a suitable survey, access and quotation from the lifting provider.

Do you move hot tubs outside Cornwall?

The main service area is Cornwall and Devon. Jobs farther away may be considered and quoted individually.

Can you quote from photographs?

Photographs, video and measurements help with an initial assessment, but some jobs require an on-site survey before a firm quotation can be given.
